Just got back from one of my favorite places in the world...Maui, Hawaii! The waters are clear and warm, the beaches clean, the sand soft, food is great, people are nice, and oh yeah it's like paradise! My wife and i enjoyed a week out there with some of our closest friends.
                                        
A few years back i took a young man that i was discipling with me to speak at a church in hawaii. He was actually family!!! And i remembered being in this amazing island, and throughout the trip he began complaining! First the clouds were blocking the sun, then the waves were too big, then it was too hot, and the next thing we knew it was time to go home and we're on the plane heading home and he says, "man im going to miss hawaii!" It blew me away. Here's what God taught me..... You could be in the most beautiful place in the world, and have the wrong attitude, and miss it!

I wonder how many times in our lives our attitude has cost us something? Or robbed something? Maybe you're in a marriage and your attitude is causing you to miss it? Or your job? or the car your drive? Or maybe the family God has given you? I've learned that your attitude will determine your altitude in life.
